Always know where the spare tire and jack are located and how to use them.

De Wildt 4×4 game park is situated between Pretoria North, Hartbeespoort and Brits.De Wildt 4×4 is specifically designed for 4×4 enthusiasts and has a rugged mountainous terrain. The 4×4 trail and obstacles can be challenging. 4×4 Owners are welcome to use our man-made 4×4 training facilities before/after entering the game park.

Our 4×4 track is the perfect environment to familiarise yourself with the capabilities of your 4×4 and the eco-trail is a 20km offroad mountain track on the Easterm Magaliesberg that winds through rock formations, fauna and flaura all the way to a spectacular view of Kungwini dam. The Kungwini facilities cater for 4×4 enthusiasts and nature adventurers.

TheGroenkloof Nature Reserve offers a moderate 4×4 trail of about 14 km that consists of obstacles, any of which drivers can bypass if they do not feel up to the challenge. There are enough to get the adrenalin flowing! The trail is also great for game viewing and enjoying a fun and eventful day out. If a vehicle gets stuck on the trail, reserve officials will be able to assist at an additional recovery fee.

4x4 off-road trails Bass Lake

Bass Lake is situated on a 75 hectare estate, 45 minutes south of Sandton. The Bass Lake 4×4 trail is open for self driving, 5 days per week (except in the case of heavy rain when the track is closed). A maximum of 6 vehicles permitted in 1 group on the trail. The length of this trail is 14 km long and has a number of technical sections. If done in full, the trail will take around 3 hours. This trail is a natural track and includes ascents / descents and water sections. Escape routes are available at the difficult sections.

This Hennops Offroad Trail is only 30km from Johannesburg and Pretoria and is designed to satisfy the first timer and the experienced 4×4 driver. Tricky obstacles can be bypassed by existing tracks and service roads. Zebra, Blou Wildebeest and Blesbok together with a wide variety of bird life and smaller animals can be viewed along the way.
