Crisis Intervention Centre:
Operational 24-hrs a day, run by qualified doctors and registered nurses. Skilled personnel are able to deal with victims of rape and child abuse, assault and domestic violence. The centre offers a confidential, empathetic examination involving the collection of specimens for forensic evidence, treatment, shower facilities and a clean change of clothing. Efficient network of support services that offer counselling to all victims.
Emergency Centre:
The 24-hr emergency centre is constantly manned by experienced medical doctors and registered nurses. Seriously-ill patients will be treated immediately.
Neonatal & Paediatric Intensive Care Unit:
Leader in providing quality care to critically ill newborn babies and older children. Equipped to treat all forms of neonatal surgical and medical pathology. Associated with the infertility unit Medfem and many of the newborn babies admitted are extremely premature. For older children, the ICU manages medical and surgical problems, including near drowning, poisonings, respiratory problems, neurosurgical cases, polytrauma, and renal failure.
Orthopaedic Unit:
A six-bed high care unit. Major specialties include arthroplasty, hip, knee and shoulder replacements and specialised upper limb surgery. The unit is coupled with a dedicated physiotherapy department.
Theatre Suites:
Designed to accommodate various surgical disciplines, including one which is specially equipped for urology and a caesarean theatre with IVF facilities. The orthopaedic, neurosurgery and endo-urology theatres were recently refurbished according to international standards.

In the interest of our patients, please adhere to visiting hours. Visitors are limited to two per patient at a time.

Adult Intensive Care Units:
10:00 – 11:00, 15:00 – 16:00 and 19:00 – 20:00
Medical Unit:

Maternity Unit:
10:00 – 20:00
These visiting hours do not apply to the parents of the baby. Our maternity unit has controlled access for 10 nominated people, limited to 4 at one time to allow for maximum rest.
Neonatal & Paediatric ICU:
Due to the extremely strict infection control measures in this unit, only parents of patients would be allowed in this unit, with unrestricted access with the exception of the following times: 06:30 – 09:30 and 18:30 – 19:30.
Grandparents: Day of birth and Sundays from 14:00 – 16:00
Siblings: Day of birth and Saturdays from 15:00 – 16:00
Tuesday: 15:00 – 17:00 (any one person, accompanied by a parent)
Thursday: 19:30 – 20:30 (any one person, accompanied by a parent)
Obstetrics Unit:
10:00 – 20:30
Paediatric Unit:
Parents: unrestricted visiting hours.
There is a bedside sleepover facility for one family member should you wish to utilise this.
