HEAVEN ON VAAL SELF CATERING PET FRIENDLY ACCOMMODATION ON THE RIVER
Retreat to the tranquility of nature where the cry of the fish eagle wakes you to an awesome sunrise. This unique section of the Vaal River is a must for boating, fishing or just relaxing at the beautiful swimming pool. Treat yourself to a memorable, peaceful weekend away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life in the comfort of our self catering apartments. All apartments have a river view. We have braai facilities at the picnic/fishing area as well as on the balcony of each unit. Boat or wet bike launching on request,(Please confirm price on booking) per craft. Copies of Skippers Licence & COF to be presented prior to launch.
In each kitchen we have a microwave; kettle, toaster, large fridge and a two plate mini oven. All cutlery, crockery and bedding are supplied. All units are partially serviced and have overhead fans and heaters. Please remember to bring your swimming towels as our towels are for use only in the unit/s. Remember to bring milk, dishwashing liquid, dishcloths, toilet rolls, toiletries, charcoal & fire starters for your braai as well as your food. Bring sun block cream in the summer. Please bring your gas lamps for night fishing & umbrellas or gazebos for the day time.
Although we have T.V.s & a dish we request you please bring your DSTV card along with your decoder & connections if you would like to watch TV. No other channels are available. (Please make sure before arrival if you would like to hire our decoder & card as we only have 1 DSTV card available. Please confirm cost on booking. It is recommended that you include in your booking should you require the card)
Spoil yourself to a scrumptious breakfast in the diner, which has a magnificent view of the river.
We are pet friendly & will gladly forward the Pet Policy to you .
Check in is after 14h00 and before 18h00. Office closes at 18h00.
Vredefort Dome: Just an half hour from Vaaloewer, we have our very own World Heritage Site. Just over 200 kms in diameter, it was created when a giant meteorite struck the earth hundreds of years ago. The dome area is known for it’s unique beauty and consists of valleys, mountains and small ravines covered in lush green flora. It is rumoured that the last ripples from the effect of the meteorite are right here in Vaaloewer, hence the hills and canyon.
