The 4th Annual Fashion Meets Gospel show will be taking place in Women’s Month on Saturday the 8th of August at the Barnyard Theatre in Sunninghill with the aim to celebrate and uplift women with live performances from Ntokozo Mbambo, Nqubeko Mbatha, Benjamin Dube, The Dube Brothers, Siphokazi and many more!
Fashion Meets Gospel is the biggest Christian Fashion Show in South Africa. The concept is simple – merge the love for fabulous fashion and spiritual music together to deliver a feast for all senses. People in attendance enjoy powerful performances while they feast their eyes on Proudly South African designer clothing.
Fashion Meets Gospel was formed in 2012 by Lindani Ndwandwa who after having worked as the head designer and stylist for Joyous Celebration and styling numerous conservative celebrity clients, identified a need for the largely overlooked conservative/christian women and men to have stylish yet respectable garments created for them and trends introduced to them in a manner they would best enjoy – through powerful gospel music and a breath-taking fashion show.
When asked what people can expect when attending a Fashion Meets Gospel Experience, Lindani says “The show itself is an amazing experience for people. They enjoy spotting upcoming fashion brands and trends while also getting a spiritual upliftment through the music performances from gospel greats such as Ntokozo Mbambo and Benjamin Dube and also mingling with fellow believers!
Having moved to a larger venue and also adding bigger gospel artists to the performance line-up this year, the event promises to be bigger and better.
